I was truly inspired after watching the video of a girl from China performing the piece "Souvenir d'enfance" by Richard Clayderman. At the time of writing, Zheng Guigui is a 19 year-old girl from China who has no fingers on her right hand but has taught herself to play the piano in just 3 years!

While dining in a restaurant with a business associate, I overheard someone sitting in the next table saying: "Robert is successful in his business ventures... he's lucky to be a millionaire now!" While one wonders whether "luck" has got anything to do with Robert's success, I truly believe that Robert has planned and deliberated his efforts to achieve the current success that he enjoys.
An interesting research conducted in the US has determined that a person driving 10 miles to buy a lottery ticket is 3 times more likely to die in a car accident than winning the lottery! Yet, even with the odds of winning the lottery nearing impossible, 1 in 4 Americans believe that lottery offers them the best chance of becoming rich. Really, isn't this equivalent to just buying hope? |
